Our School
From first steps to first stage
We offer children and adults a way to study Bharatanatyam — an art form rooted in tradition and alive with possibility.
Founded in 2016 to honour Debbie’s parents, Dr Satya Brata and Mrs Swati Ganguli, the school continues their love of art, music and learning.
Here, every class balances discipline and discovery, structure & joy
Learning through tradition
Every dancer learns to move, sing and understand rhythm, story, gesture and expression.
Bharatanatyam at Satyam blends movement, rhythm and voice.
We follow the ISTD syllabus — adavus, araimandi stance and Carnatic singing taught side by side.
Each grade builds strength, artistry and understanding; the journey ends, for some, with an arangetram the solo debut that crowns a dancer’s training.
Debbie is an ISTD-registered teacher, currently completing her Diploma in Dance Education to keep every class informed by best practice and safe technique.
